According to the data contained in the bulletin, the percentage of individuals (15 years and over) using the Internet increased to 94.3%, an increase of 1.4% from 2021, as the percentage of males using the Internet reached 95%, while the percentage of females reached 93.3%, and the percentage of Saudis formed 93.6% and non-Saudis 95.2 %, while the percentage of families with access to the Internet reached 96.5%, and the percentage of families with a computer reached 57.4%.
The results showed that the percentage of individuals (15 years and over) who used a computer in 2022 AD amounted to 49.3%, and Saudis constituted 55.1% and non-Saudis 40.08%, and the percentage of individuals (15 years and over) who owned a mobile phone in the past year was 97.7%.
Participation in social networks was the most common among individuals (15 years and over) using the Internet, as it reached 92.8% of the total Internet users, and the percentage of male use was 92.9%, while the percentage of female use was 92.6%, according to “SPA”.
According to the results of the bulletin, the percentage of individuals (15 years and over) who purchased goods and services via the Internet reached 59.7% of the total Internet users for the year 2022, as the percentage of male purchases was 58.8%, while the percentage of female purchases via the Internet was 60.9%, and clothes and shoes were And sporting goods are the most purchased via the Internet, accounting for 77.2% of all buyers.
