Pawan Kalyan Eddewa said that the YCP leaders were floating under the illusion that development would take place with the establishment of three capitals. “Jagan, who is the Leader of the Opposition in today’s debate in the Legislative Assembly on the formation of Amravati as the capital, is now speaking differently. To build a capital on 33,000 acres would require a minimum of Rs. Lakhs of crores will be required. That is a costly affair. Farmers on the road to the capital were subjected to intimidation with baton charges in several places.
More than 3,000 cases have been filed against farmers who have given up land for capital. Cases were filed against women and they roamed around the police stations. Only one YCP sang the song of three capitals if all the political parties in the state stood on the same word to want a single capital. Janasena will be a bastion for the farmers of Amravati who have sacrificed 33,000 acres for capital construction.
Janasena wants government agencies and industries to expand across the state and the capital to be Amravati alone. The Jagan government should take a decision on the perfect capital that the people of the state want, not with a temporary advantage but with foresight, ”he said.
