The country of Japan brought good news to the RRR team. RRR was nominated for the Japan Academy Awards or Japan Academy Film Prize for Best Foreign Film. The award comes fresh after recently winning a Golden Globe in the Best Original Song category (Natu Natu) and two Critics’ Choice Awards for Best Foreign Language Film.
The Japan Academy Awards is an annual award ceremony established in 1978 by the Nippon Academy Award Association. The award ceremony will be held on March 10 at the Grand Prince Hotel New Takanawa in Tokyo. On the other hand, RRR continues to shine at the ticket counters of movie theaters in Japan. Dolby Vision prints of the film were released last week, but now more IMAX screens have been added. Collections are increasing day by day. RRR is currently the biggest Indian blockbuster grossing over 650 million yen at the Japanese box office.
Fans all over the world are eagerly waiting for Oscars 2023 nominations. The final list of Oscar nominations will be announced on January 24. Meanwhile, RRR’s film is competing for Oscar final nominations in 14 categories including Best Foreign Language Film and Best Actor. On the other hand, ‘Chello Show’, which has officially entered the Oscars from India, is also in the competition.
NTR and Mega Power Star Ramcharan who acted as protagonists in RRR film are currently busy with their future projects.
