In respect of these schemes, the application has to be made on Navasakam portal within 60 days of marriage. Only those who got married after October 1 last year are eligible to apply. Financial assistance is released in February, May, August and November quarters (in four installments) for marriages held during the year. The bride and groom should be 18 years old and the groom should be 21 years old at the time of marriage. In order to prevent child marriages and promote education, a requirement of 10th pass has been introduced for this scheme.
Under this scheme, the government will give a gift of Rs.1 lakh to those who marry in the same caste. Under this scheme, Rs. 1.5 lakhs will be given as an incentive to the disabled. In case of death of the husband, the government has given exemption to the widow. A girl child gets cash incentive only for her first marriage. Eligible candidates can apply online through the website through Village and Ward Secretariats. Eligibility documents and details should be there. Also those who have a monthly income of Rs.10 thousand in rural areas and Rs.12 thousand in urban areas are eligible. Those who have less than three acres of land, ten acres of land and 10 acres of land are eligible. Electricity consumption should be less than 300 units per month. Also those who pay income tax are not eligible. Those who own a four-wheeler are ineligible for this scheme. Those who own taxis, autos and tractors are exempted. In urban areas there should be no construction property exceeding one thousand square feet. This scheme is not applicable to government employees and government pensioners. The government has given an exemption to the families of sanitation workers.
