The state high court has once again expressed anger over the IAS officers from Andhra Pradesh. The High Court on Tuesday became serious in the contempt of court case in the payment of employment guarantee scheme bills. IAS officers Gopalakrishna Dwivedi, Rawat and Kona Shashidhar, who were present in the court, were incensed. The High Court has showered questions on IAS officers in Kurnool amid allegations that the contractor committed suicide due to non-payment of government bills. High Court judge Justice Battu Devanand asked the IAS officers who would support the victim’s family. In all the judgments the court decried how contempt cases were registered. Orders were issued to give a statement of payments made through CFMS from April last year to March this year. Justice Devanand then adjourned the case for two weeks. However, the High Court was outraged at the complaints received in the past that the Employment Guarantee Scheme bills were not being paid. This time it was even more irritating. It will be interesting to see what the High Court verdict will be on this matter.
