Taking forward its manufacturing dreams in India, Apple maker Foxconn has started local production of the next generation of iPhone 15 faster than ever at its Sriperumbudur facility near Tamil Nadu.
A small set of ‘Make in India’ iPhone 15 units are likely to be exported to other countries within a short time of its global launch.

“Apple has enjoyed a positive growth trajectory in India in recent years, with sales of its older generation iPhones rising,” Prabhu Ram, head of CMR’s Industry Intelligence Group, told IANS. The upcoming iPhone 15 series is set to maintain this growth momentum.”
However, its success will depend on Apple’s ability to effectively manage any potential production challenges and shipment delays with the 15 line-up, and particularly the ‘Pro’ models.
