New Delhi. Apple is reportedly working on an AI-powered health coaching service to help users exercise, improve eating habits and sleep better. According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, multiple Apple teams are working on the project, including the company’s Health, Siri and AI teams. It has been given the code name ‘Quartz’.
The paid service is planned for next year, but if it does not work out it could be ‘deferred or suspended entirely’.
Apple is also reportedly working on technology to track emotions and plans to release an iPad version of its iPhone Health app this year.
Emotion Tracker will allow users to log their moods, answer questions, and compare their results over time.
The new iPad Health app is likely to be unveiled during Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in June.
The report states that in the future, Apple hopes the mood tracker will be able to use algorithms to understand a user’s mood based on the user’s speech, text and other data.
Apple has also equipped global researchers with Apple Watch devices to help explore new frontiers in heart health.
Using Apple’s newly launched Investigator Support Program, researchers can advance understanding of the heart with Apple Watch devices.
The Apple Watch is currently known to offer heart health features like high and low heart notifications, cardio fitness, irregular rhythm notifications, ECG app and atrial fibrillation (Afib) history.(IANS)
