- Appointment of another Adviser to the AP Government
- Gyanendra Reddy is responsible for foreign and expatriate affairs
- Gautam Sirisha, the TDP leader who fired satires on the latest appointment
TDP leader Gautham Sirisha responded to the appointment. ‘Is this casteism, shouldn’t anyone be commended for not backing down on any of these issues, dont care anyone, where are the intellectuals who have now spoken out against the castes?’ He tweeted.
Gyanendra Reddy, who hails from Chittoor district’s Penumuru, has won three consecutive terms as an MP from Chittoor in the 1989, 1991 and 1996 elections on behalf of the Congress. He joined Prajarajyam in 2009 and tried for the Palamaneru ticket. After that he joined YSSARCP. Last year, the government appointed Pramilamma, the wife of Gyanendra Reddy’s brother, to chair the Kanipakam Temple Trust Board.
At the request of the family, she was replaced by Kodali. But those orders did not come into force. Soon Gyanendrareddy’s nephew Dayasagarreddy was appointed as the special invitee of the TTD Trust Board. But that appointment is also pending with the High Court orders. Now Gyanendra Reddy has been given the post of state government advisor.
