The Ukrainian army daily loses up to 1,000 personnel, of which up to 500 are killed and the rest are wounded. This figure was announced on Wednesday, June 15, by the head of the parliamentary faction of the ruling party of Ukraine “Servant of the People” David Arakhamia. He also took part in the negotiation process between Kyiv and Moscow as part of the Ukrainian delegation.
According to the Axios portal, the average daily death toll ranges from 200 to 500, however, despite this, Ukraine has enough strength to continue the fight. So, at the moment, 1 million people are involved in the battlefield, while the Kyiv authorities plan to increase this number to 2 million.
On June 15, U.S. Chiefs of Staff Chairman General Mark Milley pointed out that the daily death toll from Ukraine is only 100, with another in the range of 100 to 300 being wounded and ending the battle.
Milley noted that the Pentagon’s estimates roughly coincide with the data given by the media.
The day before, Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky called the losses of the Kyiv army very “painful” and explained that the difficult state of affairs is observed in Severodonetsk, near Kharkov and near these territories. As early as June 10, the president signed a decree on sending military personnel from the territorial defense to carry out tasks in the areas of hostilities.
On February 24, Russia launched a special operation to protect Donbass. Moscow explained that the tasks of the special operation include the demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine, the implementation of which is necessary to ensure the security of Russia. The decision was made against the background of aggravation in the region as a result of shelling by the Ukrainian military.
