On November 21, a tragic traffic accident shook all of Puerto Rico because Justin Santos, brother of Archangel, he lost his life when he was only 21 years old. The young man was on his way home at dawn in his car when he violently collided with another vehicle that was driving at high speed and in the opposite direction.
According to the first reports, a woman was the one who was driving the car that caused the accident, and shortly after it was known that she was completely intoxicated. And one month after that fateful event, this Monday, the Puerto Rico Justice Department ordered the arrest warrant for Mayra Nevárez Torres after formally accusing her of six criminal charges.
What the statement indicates is that the woman is directly accused of causing the death of Justin Santos, Arcángel’s brother, and of the serious injuries of Keven monserrate, his companion. As recalled, the 21-year-old could not be seen by medical personnel and lost his life at the scene of the accident.

Prosecutor’s Office assures that he did not act because of the media of the case
Edmanuel Santiago Quiles, prosecutor in charge of the case, testified to the press when he left the investigation room. The authority assured that they took the time necessary to resolve the case clearly, and pointed out that they did not give in to media pressure as Arcángel was involved.

“It is the result of having taken the time required to conduct a responsible investigation. What transcends publicly is not enough. That is why we work without pressure of any kind. Our only approach is to do justice, “he said.
Arcángel seeks to meet Mayra Nevárez Torres to help her
Just days after the death of his brother, Arcángel made a live broadcast where he gave his first words about the event. The Puerto Rican reggaeton was visibly beaten and assured that he wants to meet the person responsible for the accident in order to help her, since he knows what it is to live with the problem of alcoholism.
