Donbass can be completely liberated by the Armed Forces (AF) of the Russian Federation within two to three months. This forecast was shared by the former adviser to the office of the Ukrainian President Oleksiy Arestovich, on February 5, Strana.ua reported.
According to him, “some troubles” await the Ukrainian military in the Donbass. There is a strong grouping of the Russian army in the region, it will force the Ukrainian military to retreat from their positions, Arestovich believes.
Earlier on Sunday, Izvestia war correspondent Emil Timashev said that Russian artillery in the Kherson direction was destroying the positions of Ukrainian nationalists with Hurricanes fire. This allows the Russian military to push the enemy and advance.
On the eve of the Telegram channel of military envoy Semyon Pegov, he reported that the Armed Forces of Ukraine (APU), under pressure from the Russian army, retreated from the northern quarters of Artemivsk (Ukrainian name – Bakhmut) in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR). It is noted that Artemovsk has already been taken by Russian forces into a semicircle.
Earlier, on January 31, Russian troops liberated Blagodatnoye in the DPR. In total, up to 50 Ukrainian servicemen and several units of military equipment were destroyed in the Donetsk direction.
The special operation to protect the Donbass, the beginning of which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, continues. The decision was made against the background of the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
