Argentine journalist Ángel de Brito, host of the popular program ‘LAM’ and a close friend of Marcelo Tinelli, recently spoke about the relationship that Milett Figueroa has with the family of the well-known television host. According to de Brito, the Peruvian actress and model has not managed to fully integrate with Tinelli’s children, who seem to maintain a protective stance towards their father.
“Marcelo is an excellent father, he has five children from three different women, and he gets along very well with his three ex-wives. Here he is recognized as a great father,” said the host when asked about the family dynamic. However, when asked how Milett fits into the family, de Brito was blunt: “No, she doesn’t fit in, she doesn’t fit in. She’s the girlfriend, she’s the father’s girlfriend.” In addition, he assured that Tinelli’s children, especially the older ones, are jealous and take great care of their father, which would have generated this distance with Figueroa.

Ángel de Brito stressed that Marcelo Tinelli has always had a close and solid relationship with his children, whom he has raised in harmony with his three ex-wives. However, for Milett Figueroa, entering this family circle has not been easy. “All grown-ups are jealous of their father, obviously, they want to take care of him and protect him from all kinds of people,” said the Argentine journalist, hinting that Tinelli’s children prefer to keep a barrier with Figueroa.

Likewise, de Brito commented that, despite the romantic relationship between the Peruvian model and the famous presenter, the age differences and the lack of trust on the part of the children could be affecting the stability of the couple. “No, no, no, not really. I think they have different ages, different interests, different backgrounds, different sense of humor as well, and I see her as a bit structured when it comes to wanting to show that she is serious, that she is professional,” he added.
De Brito also suggested that Milett Figueroa seems to be dealing with prejudices about her media career in Peru and that her desire to present a different image in Argentina could be complicating her relationship with Tinelli’s family. The journalist stressed that, although the relationship is still going strong, this situation does not bode well for the couple’s future.
Milett Figueroa in ‘Singing 2024’
The presence of Milett Figueroa in ‘Cantando 2024’, one of the most watched programs on Argentine television, was also a reason for analysis for Ángel de Brito, who was critical of her role in the show. During an interview on the program ‘América Hoy’, the host of ‘LAM’ said that Figueroa should not be at the jury table, which she shares with great figures such as Nacha Guevara, Flavio Mendoza and Marcelo Polino. For de Brito, her inclusion seems to be more related to her relationship with Marcelo Tinelli than to her artistic experience.

“No, there should be another judge, a crazy person, someone with more personality. I think she only gets there because she is Marcelo’s partner. And that will help the reality show,” said de Brito. This statement generated controversy, as it suggests that Figueroa is being used to generate more interest in the program and increase media attention. De Brito was direct in stating that Marcelo Tinelli is taking advantage of the relationship to promote the show, although he acknowledged that Figueroa cannot be completely underestimated, since “we practically don’t know her.”
In addition, Ángel de Brito did not skimp on criticism of Figueroa’s performance as a judge on the musical reality show. “Milett is too big for the ‘Cantando’ jury, she is just starting out, she needs a lot,” he said, pointing out that her participation has been “poor, boring and exaggerated.” De Brito questioned the fact that a figure who has just arrived in the world of Argentine entertainment is part of a jury traditionally made up of established stars. “She is not an important figure in Argentina. She is a figure who is just starting out, we are just getting to know her,” the journalist stressed.
Finally, De Brito suggested that Milett Figueroa should have participated as a contestant instead of a judge, pointing out that her career is not yet consolidated in the country. “It seems that she took the fast track. She has nothing. She has no show, she doesn’t sing, she’s not spicy, she has no history in this country,” she concluded.
