According to the AFP news agency, two black motorcycles with three black-clad men appeared on the sidewalk of the business on the characteristic Place Vendôme in Paris around 1:45 p.m. this afternoon. Two of the men carried guns.
Video footage circulating on Twitter shows how one of the robbers stands guard outside with a gun. He walks around the two motorcycles, looks around and tells a pedestrian to move to the other side of the road at some point. The two other robbers are in the jewelry store at the time.

In the store, according to AFP, they hit a security guard with the butt of a rifle. They manage to get their hands on loot worth several million euros, get back on their motorbikes outside and disappear over the sidewalk and then into traffic.
The public prosecutor of Paris reports that an investigation has been launched into the robbery.
The Bulgari jewelry store had also been robbed in September 2021. Then the loot reportedly amounted to ten million euros. One of the robbers suffered a leg injury and was arrested. In June 2022, two other suspects (aged 26 and 37 at the time and from Seine-Saint-Denis) were arrested.
