The Indian Army is working closely with the Center for Land and Warfare Studies (CLAUSE), a leading think tank, for the Chanakya Defense Dialogue. Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar was also present in the program along with Army Chief Manoj Pandey.
Army Chief General Manoj Pandey has said on the India-China border dispute without naming any country that India knows the importance of sovereignty and territorial integrity of all countries. Therefore, we emphasize on peaceful resolution of disputes and adherence to international rules, and not on the use of military or force.
General Pandey also said that India is building its defense wings at new places across the world. The Indian Army is keen to increase the scope of joint military training with friendly countries. The Army Chief also said that India’s commitment to protect the interests of all has remained the same for years. India’s multilateral role in the defense sector has become important.
The Army Chief was speaking at the Chanakya Defense Dialogue in Delhi. It was organized by the Indian Army’s Center for Land Warfare Studies (CLAWS). Its objective is to analyze defense challenges in South Asia and Indo-Pacific, so that India can be further strengthened in these regions.
