Arturo Álvarez and his position regarding the elections
In relation to the possibility of Carlos Álvarez running for president, Arturo was forceful in expressing his position. “I would have to think about it. I wouldn’t think about giving the vote to my brother, or my neighbor, or my skinny, I have to think about the country. It’s complicated,” said the comedian.
Arturo stressed that family ties are not a sufficient reason to cast his vote and explained that he would make his decision based on the government plan that Carlos can present. “If he wants to be a candidate and has the best intentions for the country, I think it’s great. But to vote for a person, you have to think about everything, not just one detail,” he said.
The comedian added that his decision would be influenced by the impact that said plan would have on the country: “It’s not that I wouldn’t vote, you have to look at the government plan. I’m objective, I’m not going to say that because of what happened I wouldn’t vote for my brother”.
