New Delhi. Former CM Arvind Kejriwal has written a letter to Union Home Minister Amit Shah regarding the issue of law and order in Delhi. Kejriwal has sought time to meet Amit Shah to discuss law and order. In the letter, Kejriwal has expressed concern about the security of Delhi.
Arvind Kejriwal wrote in the letter that the law and order of Delhi is under the central government. Delhi is now being known as the crime capital. Among the 19 metro cities of India, Delhi ranks number one in crimes against women, as well as in cases of murder.
Kejriwal (Arvind Kejriwal) wrote that extortion gangs became active in Delhi. Airports and schools are receiving threats. There has been a 350% increase in drug related crimes. I am worried about the safety of people across Delhi. Delhi is now being recognized as the crime capital in the country and abroad. Arvind Kejriwal wrote in the letter, ‘I am writing this letter to you because being the Home Minister of the country (Amit Shah), you are responsible for the law and order of Delhi. But it is very sad to say that Delhi is now being recognized as the crime capital in the country and abroad. While crimes against women are increasing rapidly in Delhi, extortion gangs and gangsters have become active on every street. Drugs mafia has spread its presence all over Delhi. The whole of Delhi is troubled by mobile and chain snatching.”
