Shakambaridevi festivities at Ammavari temple got off to a glorious start from Thursday. The Sridurgamalleswaraswamy Warla Temple on Indrakeeladri is organizing the Shakambari festival from the 22nd to the 24th of this month in honor of the month of Ashwadh. On this occasion, Kanakadurga adorned the vendors with greens, fruits and vegetables. The rites were performed by the Rutviks under the supervision of the members of the Vedic Committee for the lemons and vegetables initially given by the donors. On the last day, the temple officials said, it will be specially decorated with fruits brought from other states. At the event, the temple Evo Bhramaramba, along with the Chairman of the Governing Body, Sominayudi, sprinkled yellow saffron on them and started the decoration program scientifically. Moolaviratha Durgamma is decorated with a variety of fruits, greens and vegetables. Devotees are flocking to visit the fort, which is also known as Shakambari.
