Dubai: India’s Ravichandran Ashwin has once again topped the ICC rankings for Test cricket bowlers.
Ravichandran Ashwin, the senior spinner of the Indian cricket team, took 6 wickets in the first innings against Australia in the 4th Test match that ended on the 13th in Ahmedabad. Ashwin had a total of 25 wickets in the 4-match Border-Gavaskar Trophy series. With this, Ashwin has once again taken the top spot in the ranking list for ICC Test match bowlers.
Ashwin shared the top spot with England’s James Anderson in the rankings ahead of the Ahmedabad Test. But now he has gained 10 more points than Anderson and has reached the top spot. Ashwin is at the top with 869 points and James Anderson is at the 2nd position with 859 points. Australian captain Pat Cummins, who did not feature in the last two Tests against India, is at the third position with 841 points.
India’s Axar Patel moved up 6 places to 28th. Meanwhile, Axar Patel has advanced to the 4th position in the all-rounders ranking list.
India’s Virat Kohli has moved up 8 places to 13th in the batsmen rankings. It is noteworthy that Virat Kohli won the man of the match award after scoring 186 runs in the Ahmedabad Test match. Shubman Gill, who scored a century in the same match, has moved up 17 places and is ranked 46th.
