The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) announced today that it has been informed of the Myanmar Football Association’s confirmation that Shan United and Hantharwady United have withdrawn from the 2022 AFC Champions League and AFC Cup 2022.
The draw had placed Hantharwady United in the AFC Cup 2022 Group Nine, while Shan United was expected to participate in the preliminary round of the 2022 AFC Champions League.
The AFC said on its website that the matter was referred to the relevant committees for a timely decision.
