Units of the Airborne Forces (VDV) captured strongholds of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in one of the directions during a special military operation. On March 30, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation spoke about how the paratroopers conduct active combat work.
“Our paratroopers, in spite of everything, under the cover of artillery, reached, repulsed, took trophies. Now we only saw two corpses that were left lying on the battlefield. You can’t approach them, as they are mined, ”an Airborne Forces officer with the call sign“ Objective ”said.
Assault detachments of the Airborne Forces took control of several enemy strongholds with the support of artillery, as well as unmanned aircraft and tanks.
The paratroopers took possession of a large number of trophies, including foreign-made small arms.
The enemy suffered significant losses in personnel and equipment and was forced to bring in additional reserves, but could not hold the line being defended. The ammunition depot of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was destroyed and the mortar platoon at the firing position was suppressed. Fire damage was inflicted on suitable enemy reserves.
Earlier, on March 28, the Russian Defense Ministry showed footage of the combat work of mobile groups of airborne units to destroy observation posts of the Armed Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The paratroopers, using a quadrocopter, found an observation post of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and proceeded to liquidate it, firing from an AGS-17 “Flame” automatic grenade launcher.
The special operation to protect Donbass, which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was made against the background of the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
