A bus collided with a fuel truck in northern Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, killing at least 17 people, including women and children. This was reported by the Pakistan Observer on Thursday, February 2.
It is noted that shortly after the accident, the vehicles caught fire. Arriving rescuers had to cut the interior of the bus to get to the wounded and remove the bodies of the dead. The injured passengers were taken to the nearest hospital.
Earlier, on January 29, more than 40 people were victims of an accident in Pakistan. At night, a passenger bus crashed into a pole at high speed, after which it fell into a ravine and caught fire. Only three people managed to escape. Local authorities said that it was impossible to identify the dead.
According to available information, the cause of the accident was the poor condition of the road, non-compliance with safety measures and reckless driving.
