At least eight dead in Jerusalem synagogue shooting, perpetrator killed, US offers help

At least eight people have been killed in a shooting at a synagogue in a Jewish suburb in East Jerusalem, Israeli media report. At least nine people were injured, according to emergency services in the Israeli-sieged part of the city. The police, speaking of a terrorist attack, killed the perpetrator.
