In Moscow, the main works of the first stage of improvement near the Meshcherskaya metro station of the future MCD-4 have been completed. This was announced on Monday, January 30, on the website of the capital’s mayor’s office.
As Petr Biryukov, Deputy Mayor of the capital for housing and public utilities and landscaping, said, specialists from the urban economy complex will create a convenient and safe pedestrian route that runs from the MCD-4 Meshcherskaya station under construction to the residential areas of the actively developing Solntsevo district. He clarified that Matrosova Street and 1st Dachno-Meshchersky Proyezd were also included in the improvement zone.
According to Biryukov, overhead cable lines were removed underground to improve the visual appearance of the space and ensure safety. In addition, specialists laid an additional 475 m of drainage network.
In addition, the sidewalks have been widened. The total area of the pedestrian zone now exceeds 18 thousand square meters. m., the asphalt pavement on the roadway, on the flat parking and at the entrances to the courtyards was updated.
The official noted that the specialists also replaced the old lighting poles and installed additional ones. In total, more than 90 energy-efficient lamps will illuminate the territory, the kp.ru website notes. At ground pedestrian crossings, 28 contrast lighting poles were equipped.
A turning circle for urban passenger transport was organized near the Meshcherskaya station, and four modern stopping pavilions were placed.
About 50 trees will also be planted near the station. To date, specialists have already equipped the lawn with an area of over 7.6 thousand square meters. m, writes RIAMO.
The work is expected to be completed in spring 2023.
Earlier in January, it was reported that this year in the Moscow region the territories near 27 MCD-3 and MCD-4 stations will be landscaped. Specialists will put in order footpaths, parking lots, install lamps and plant trees and shrubs in the areas, the 360 TV channel notes.
The launch of MCD-3 and MCD-4 is scheduled for 2023. It is also planned to open a reverse traffic on the MCD-1 section – from Savelovskaya to Belorusskaya.
In addition, the reconstruction and construction of 14 suburban stations will be completed. Also in 2023, work will continue on the modernization of the already operating MCD-1 and MCD-2.
