Bhubaneswar. Famous international sprinter Duti Chand narrowly escaped a major accident in Madhupatna on Friday morning. The incident came to light when Dutee Chand (athlete) lodged a complaint at Madhupatna police station. Dutee told that when he was returning from OMP Chowk to Bhubaneswar with his friend, a trailer truck hit his car.
Duti Chand alleged that the truck was trying to overtake and during this collided with her car. Dutee Chand also alleged that the trailer driver misbehaved with her and her driver. Police have seized the truck and detained the driver Krishna Baitha.
Actually, athlete Duti Chand’s car met with an accident near OMP Chowk in Cuttack district. Dutee Chand’s car was hit by a truck. The athletes are safe in the accident. However his car has been damaged. Police have seized the truck and taken the driver into custody. According to the information, Dutee Chand was returning from Jajpur to Bhubaneswar by car with her friend.
A truck hit his car near OMP Chowk. When the truck driver was trying to run away after the accident, Dutee chased him and caught him. The truck driver stopped the car in front of the truck before Kathjodi bridge. The police reached the spot, seized the truck and took the driver into custody.
