Dubai: Authorities in the UAE have made masks mandatory for all children aged three and above. A spokesman for the UAE Health Ministry said the masks were crucial in preventing the spread of Kovid. Fareeda al-Hosani said.

Speaking at an online session about Kovid, Fareeda said that medical dread masks provide better protection. ‘Children over the age of three should wear a mask. Children under the age of three should wear face shields. State news agency Wam reported quoting Farida.

Fareeda reminded parents to avoid taking their children to crowded places like playgrounds. ‘The Kovid crisis has badly affected the citizens and residents of the country. They even changed their lifestyles and styles’, Fareeda added.

‘It has encouraged families and communities to adopt new healthy lifestyles, to encourage children and youth to take on responsibilities, to be independent and to change many negative lifestyles.

He said it was important to use the vaccine to reduce the spread of covid and especially to protect the elderly and children. Fareeda said. Fareeda added that the UAE was considering a plan to vaccinate several people. It was thought that children would not be infected with the virus, but over time, that is likely to change.
