Noida | On the first day of Auto-Expo 2023, Hyundai Motor India launched another electric model, Ioniq 5, which will run for 631 kilometers on a single charge. The electric vehicle is further strengthened by the e-GMP platform. Which has also strengthened the Kia EV6 which is already selling in India. On the first day of the event, Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan, Hyundai’s brand ambassador, arrived at the launch of the IONIC 5 at the Hyundai Pavilion. Ionic 5 is priced starting at Rs 44.95 lakh (ex-showroom) and will be available in 3 color options – White, Black and Exclusive Matte Silver.
Launching the model, Unsoo Kim, MD & CEO, Hyundai Motor India, said that the electric vehicles represent the company’s shift towards futuristic mobility by bringing together intelligent technology, innovation and sustainability in the days to come. Powering the Aionic 5 is an electric motor that produces 215 bhp and 350 Nm of torque, which is connected to a 72.6 kWh battery pack.
On the inside, there’s an option of eco-processed leather upholstery on offer, and like any Hyundai, it’s loaded with features and connected car tech. There is a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with an 8-speaker Bose sound system with support for OTA updates.(IANS)
