Greater Noida | Vadodara-based electric scooter manufacturer Ward Wizard on Thursday launched ‘Mihos’, a two-wheeler made from poly dicyclopentadiene material (PDCPD) at the Auto Expo 2023. The company said that designed and developed by it, Mihos is a retro-styled electric scooter and is equipped with advanced technology and user-friendly features along with vehicle sound simulator for added safety on the road. PDCPD is the key differentiator of the product which offers dual properties of high flexibility and robust nature at the same time.
The scooter will be produced at the company’s manufacturing facility in Vadodara and deliveries will begin in a phased manner across the country. The Mihos can accelerate from 0-40 kmph in less than 7 seconds and comes with 95 Nm of instant torque. The top speed is 70 kmph and it runs for around 100 km on a single charge.
Its price is expected to be around Rs 1.35 lakh. Speaking at the launch, Yatin Gupte, Chairman and Managing Director, Ward Wizard said, “The scooter will not only enthrall the customers with its retro looks and advanced features but will also provide added safety along with high standards of durability and comfort in various road conditions .
He added- The company is further investing in its R&D wing to create a holistic e-mobility ecosystem and develop India’s first EV accessory cluster to accelerate the adoption and growth of green mobility in the country. The year 2023 is going to be the foundation year of EV mobility in the country.
The company also unveiled the concept of its city electric motorcycle ‘Rockefeller’ at the expo on Thursday. It has been designed keeping in mind the requirement of the riders for daily riding. The company is planning to launch the motorcycle by the end of 2024.(IANS)
