2 thousand years between India and Korea!
There is an allusion to India in Korean history. There is a mention of Suriratna, the young queen of Ayodhya. In 48 AD, the king of Ayodhya had a dream. God inspired you to marry your 16-year-old daughter to King Kim Suro in South Korea.
According to this dream that fell to him, the king of Ayodhya who went to South Korea in search of the marriage of Suriratna, the young queen of Ayodhya with the king there. 10 sons were born to this couple. History says that this couple lived happily for 150 years.
The fact that Suriratna’s name was renamed as Heo Hwang Ko after her marriage to the King of South Korea, Kim Soro, is also contained in the historical records of Korea.
Remembering the historical relationship between the two countries, the South Korean Embassy has wished good luck to Indians, Prime Minister Modi and the people of Ayodhya in the wake of the reconstruction of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.
There is a familial relationship between South Korea and India. There is also a spiritual connection. The Embassy hopes that Ram in Ayodhya will further strengthen the ties between the two countries.
History tells us that South Korean King Kim Soro’s dynasty took a new turn after he married Suriratna, the young queen of Ayodhya. About 2 thousand years ago in 48 AD when Kim Suro and Suriratna got married, Suriratna was 16 years old. It is also said in the mythological stories there that this marriage took place as per the will of God. Suriratna’s hometown is written as Ayutha in the South Korean historical book ‘Sumguk Yusa’.
