It is known that Azadika Amrit Mahotsav is being organized on the occasion of 75th Independence Day. On this occasion, in AP too, the program is being carried out ambitiously. Special Chief Secretary of Tourism and Culture Department Rajat Bhargava said that crores of national flags have been distributed free of cost to the pensioners across the state. A three kilometer national flag rally is being organized from Vijayawada Benz Circle to Police Control Room on Saturday morning. Moreover, the family members of 278 freedom fighters are being honored in the state. Also, 399 ponds are being modernized and special programs are being carried out under the name of Amrit Sarovar. Historical treasures and heritage buildings have been beautifully decorated to express the spirit of the sacrificers. Three short films have been made to involve all communities in the flag festival. Wide publicity has been provided through social media. On the other hand, in honor of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, demonstrations were held with huge national flags in many districts across the state. A national flag parade was held at Rajamahendravaram, East Godavari district headquarters along a length of 5,200 km. It is said that it is a record in the south to perform with this huge flag. A 1,500 meter long national flag was displayed at Tanuku in West Godavari district. Minister Karumuri Venkatanageswara Rao participated in this program. Around 15 thousand students and people participated in this rally.
