Bahraini runner Salwa Eid Nasser, who won the silver medal in the 400-meter race in the athletics competitions at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, expressed her happiness with the achievement and winning an Olympic medal.
Eid told Emarat Al Youm: “Winning an Olympic medal is an indescribable feeling. It is the result of years of hard work, sacrifices, and unwavering faith, and it is evidence of the strength of the support I have received in my sports career.”
She explained: “I extend my sincere thanks and gratitude to His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of the General Sports Authority and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, for his vision and unlimited support, and to the Bahrain Olympic Committee and the Bahrain Athletics Federation for their tireless efforts.”
She added: “I would like to thank the people of Bahrain for their continuous support, which was the biggest motivation for winning this medal dedicated to all Bahrainis. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for this support.”
