The saffron sources feel that Bandane is the right candidate to defeat Gangula Kamalakar, who is the minister there.
In the last assembly elections, Gangula Kamalakar got 80,983 votes in the Karimnagar segment, while Bandi Sanjay stood second with 66,009 votes. After that Congress candidate Ponnam Prabhakar is in third position with 39,500 votes. Surveys show that BJP is still strong there.
