Sports Desk. Bangladesh cricket team has created a new history on the soil of Pakistan. The team led by Nazmul Hussain Shanto defeated the host Pakistan by 10 wickets on Sunday on the fifth and final day of the first Test match played at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
This is Bangladesh’s first win against Pakistan in Test cricket history. With this win, Bangladesh has taken a 1-0 lead in the two-match Test series. Bangladesh cricket team has now become the first team in the world to beat Pakistan by 10 wickets in Test cricket at its home ground.
In the second innings, only Mohammad Rizwan was able to score a half-century for the Pakistan cricket team. He contributed 51 runs. Apart from him, no other batsman could stay on the pitch. For Bangladesh, Mehdi took 5 wickets for 21 runs in 11.5 overs in the second innings of Pakistan. Apart from him, Shakib Al Hasan took 3 wickets for 44 runs in 17 overs.
On the fifth and final day of the match on Sunday, Pakistan’s team was all out for only 146 runs in their second innings and Bangladesh got a target of only 30 runs to win the match, which they achieved without losing any wicket. Pakistan declared their innings after scoring 448 runs for 6 wickets in the first innings, but Bangladesh gave a befitting reply to this and scored a huge score of 565 runs in their first innings.
