Bayern Munich president Herbert Hainer said that the skirmish that took place between Sadio Mane and Leroy Sane after Bayern’s 3-0 defeat by Manchester City last Tuesday in the Champions League will not be tolerated.
“What happened after the match in Manchester will not be tolerated,” Hainer told Bild newspaper on the sidelines of the basketball match between Bayern and Zalgiris Kunes. Mane was punished accordingly. The fine is painful for him, even despite his (high) salary.”
And German media reports stated that Mane hit his colleague Sani in the face while they were in the changing room, and their teammates intervened to separate them, after the match against Manchester City in the first leg of the Champions League quarter-finals.
Bayern Munich punished Mane by stopping him from participating in the match against Hoffenheim today, Saturday, in addition to a fine, and the club did not reveal more details.
