Batting first, Pakistan could not build a good total as expected. The Netherlands bowlers kept testing the Pakistan batting line by taking wickets at regular intervals. Pakistan were all out after scoring 286 runs in 49 overs.
Netherlands all-rounder Baz de Leede who took four wickets shook Pakistan. At one stage, Pakistan lost 3 wickets while scoring 33 runs. Mohammad Rizwan and Saud Shakeel’s partnership helped Pakistan to win. Rizwan scored 68 off 75 balls and Shakeel scored 68 off 52 balls.
Mohammad Nawaz (33) and Shadab Khan (32) made excellent contributions to Pakistan’s innings. 8 of the 11 players in the Netherlands line-up bowled. Apart from bowling, Bas de Liede also shined in batting. The batting performance of the star surprised the Pakistan bowling line-up.
De Liede became the top scorer for the Orange team with 67 off 68 balls. Pakistan struggled a bit to get wickets in the first phase. Opener Vikramjit Singh (52) also scored a half-century. Haris Rauf who took 3 wickets and Hasan Ali who took 2 wickets were the shining stars in Pak bowling.
