Ashraf Bencharki, former Wydad Athletic and Zamalek player, is close to moving to the Qatari League, to join Moroccan national team star Sofiane Boufal.
According to what was reported by the Qatari press, Bencharki is in an advanced stage of negotiation with the Qatari club Al-Rayyan, as the aforementioned press sources indicated that Qatari club officials want Bencharki to be an available option in light of the injury suffered by Sofiane Boufal.
The same sources indicated that Bencharki is currently in Doha to finalize negotiations with the Qatari Al-Rayyan team and to undergo a medical examination before signing the contract.
It is expected that the Qatari Al-Sadd will announce in the coming hours a transfer deal for Bencharki, after the termination of his contract with the Emirati Al-Jazeera by mutual consent.
