File: “Sadhguru Zaki Vasudev’s journey to protect soil resources will go down in history as saving Mother Earth,” Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Puppet said.
The government of Karnataka, India’s 8th state, on Sunday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to restore soil fertility in the state.
Speaking at a function in Bangalore, Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Pomma said, “As far as Satguru’s journey is concerned, it will be written in the history of saving Mother Earth. This movement must surely succeed. The success of this movement will benefit every citizen on this earth, especially the children of the present and the children of the future.
Not only have we signed a memorandum of understanding on behalf of the government, we will take all necessary steps to protect soil fertility as recommended by the ‘Save the Soil’ movement. ”
Speaking on the occasion, former Chief Minister BS Eduyurappa said, “This movement is a necessity today. As the soil loses its fertility it leads to food production and drinking water shortages. All citizens should take part in this movement started by Satguru for the benefit of the people of the world.”
Karnataka Education Minister P.C. Nagesh said, “We worship the Punjabis. But we have forgotten it. Satguru reminds us of that.
Minister of Health Q. Speaking on the occasion, Sudhakar said, “Sadhguru’s deeds teach us that we should pass on to future generations the same pure nature as what our previous generations gave us. An Indian Guru has connected the whole world with this wonderful work of restoring soil fertility. ”
Commenting on his journey, Satguru said, “It is not just a long journey, it is an incredible feat. Volunteers from all over the world, from Europe to Central Asia, Arabia and Africa, have done an amazing job. I have nothing to say about India. All the states we have passed and each state have signed MoUs with the Soil Conservation Movement. “
Satguru, who started his journey from London on March 21, is scheduled to complete his journey in Tamil Nadu on Tuesday.
