This is a very convenient system for customers. Payment can be made without carrying cash. This way you will not have to worry about money being stolen or retail. But with the salient advantages, you must know some of the disadvantages as well. Many people have lost money in the past through digital transactions. Leading banks in the country, including SBI, had warned against this.
The fraud was committed by misleading customers by claiming to be a bank representative and leaking information including the account. Following this, banks warned customers not to give out account details or debit / credit card details to callers by name. ATM fraud was also widespread. Following this, the police have warned that fraud through QR code scanning is on the rise.
