Future pilgrims who arrived in Medina from Bosnia and Herzegovina in the past two days visited Uhud today, the hill where a very important battle in the history of Islam took place, Anadolia reports.
Upon arrival at Uhud, the representative of the Office for Hajj and Umrah, Izet ef, spoke to the prospective pilgrims. Čamdžić, who conveyed several very important messages from this place, according to the Muslim Information News Agency (MINA).
“The Muslims won at Badr, but they lost here. Why? At Badr, the companions told the Prophet, peace be upon him, that if he ordered them to step on the sea, they would do it. They put the eternal before the fleeting and won. Here at Uhud, the Prophet peace be upon him said to the companions and fighters: ‘If you see that the birds are blowing our dead bodies, you must not come down from the hill’. What is happening? When the Mushriks began to flee, the spoils of war were left behind, and those from the hill saw that they too could do something get. There on the other side stood the great military leader Halid ibn Velid, he went around the hill with his army, attacked the Muslims and the polytheists won. What is the lesson of all this? Whenever in life you give priority to the transient over the eternal, expect failure,” said Čamdžić .
After the address, the pilgrims visited the famous Archers’ Hill, and then the cemetery where all the martyrs of Uhud, as well as Hazrat Hamza, are buried.
Then they headed by bus towards the Kibletejn mosque, i.e. the mosque with two qiblas. This mosque is specific in that Muslims initially turned towards the Qibla in Al-Quds (Jerusalem), and when the verse about changing the Qibla was revealed, then the direction of the Qibla changed towards Mecca. That is why this mosque is called the Mosque with two qiblas.
The last destination visited by the pilgrims today is the famous Masjidul-Kuba, i.e. the first built mosque, that is, a masjid, in Islam, the foundation stone of which was laid by God’s Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him. The Prophet, peace be upon him, waited in this mosque for 14 days for Hazrat Ali when he made the hijra from Mecca to Medina.
The pilgrims prayed two rak’ahs in both mosques, rested a bit, refreshed themselves with zemzem water, and then headed to the hotels in 24 buses before noon.
Tonight, from midnight, our pilgrims will begin to visit the Revdah in an organized manner, and according to the schedule, the arriving groups will perform this activity throughout the entire day tomorrow.
