New Delhi. Bhojpuri star Pawan Singh has made a big revelation about not contesting the Lok Sabha elections from Asansol in Bengal. In the Lok Sabha elections, BJP had given Pawan Singh a ticket from Asansol in West Bengal, but he returned the ticket.
Bhojpuri star Pawan Singh has finally broken his silence and told why he did not contest the 2024 Lok Sabha elections from Asansol seat in West Bengal. Pawan Singh has told that he himself was ready to contest from Asansol. He said that he had returned the ticket only under pressure from the party.
Pawan Singh told in an interview that he had agreed to contest the elections from Asansol and BJP had also given him the ticket. But after getting the ticket, some of his songs, especially the posters of songs related to ‘Bengal’, started going viral. People started linking it to Bengal. Questions started being raised about these songs and posters and party leaders also expressed concern over this.
Bhojpuri film power star Pawan Singh further said that he asked the party leaders if there was any other reason? They said no. Then I said no and returned the ticket. Pawan Singh said that if I had not to contest the election from Asansol, I would never have said ‘yes’ to the party.
