In Orel, law enforcement officers have identified a suspect in the theft of bicycles. On Friday, June 10, reports Infoorel.ru.
Two local residents reported the theft of two bicycles to the police. Unidentified persons abducted them at night from the entrances of houses on Latyshsky Riflemen Street and on Karachaevsky Highway. The amount of damage was about 30 thousand rubles.
Based on the facts of the incidents, the investigative department of OP No. 2 for the Zavodskoy district of Orel of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia opened criminal cases under Part 2 of Art. 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Theft committed with the infliction of significant damage to a citizen”).
The suspect was an unemployed young man born in 2003. He confessed to what he had done. One bike was confiscated, the second was sold, its whereabouts are being established.
For the period of the investigation, the young man will be under house arrest and proper behavior.
Earlier, on June 7, it was reported that fraudsters pretending to be firefighters robbed a pensioner in Vladivostok. The suspects have been identified. They turned out to be two brothers, aged 21 and 24, who came from the Stavropol Territory. Both have already been prosecuted for similar crimes.
