New Delhi. Chief Minister of the state Arvind Kejriwal, who is lodged in Tihar Jail on charges of Delhi liquor scam, did not get relief from the Supreme Court on Tuesday. Kejriwal (Arvind Kejriwal) has challenged the ED’s arrest in the Supreme Court of the country, calling it illegal. The hearing in this case has started today.
A hearing has already taken place in this matter for two days in which Kejriwal’s lawyer (Arvind Kejriwal) had presented his side. Today the ED lawyers gave their arguments which the court heard carefully. However, the court did not give any decision. The Delhi Court (Supreme Court) has extended his custody till May 20. Let us tell you that during the hearing held last day, the Supreme Court had raised questions on the timing of Kejriwal’s arrest.
Along with this, he had said that since it is election time, we can also consider the interim bail of Kejriwal (Arvind Kejriwal). When the hearing started today, ASG SV Raju started presenting his side. He said, I want to start the conversation with the Hawala transaction of Rs 100 crore. After Manish Sisodia’s bail was rejected, a complaint was received and Rs 1100 crore was attached.
On this Justice Khanna said, did it become Rs 1100 crore in two years? You had said that the crime was worth Rs 100 crores, then how did it become so much? On this, Raju said that the benefit derived from the policy is Rs 1100 crore. Then Justice Khanna said that you cannot bring the entire profit in the category of crime.
