New Delhi. The Supreme Court has given a big blow to former Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren. In fact, the Supreme Court has refused to hear the petition seeking interim bail. Also, the demand calling the arrest illegal was also rejected.
Former Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren had sought interim bail for the election campaign. Now he will not be able to participate in the election campaign. While hearing the application of Hemant Soren, SC expressed displeasure that Soren did not present all the facts before the court. The court questioned that when Soren had approached the SC, why was the court not informed that the bail application was pending before the special court and the lower court had already taken cognizance of the charge sheet.

On the other hand, Hemant Soren has also withdrawn his petition. In this case, Soren’s lawyer (Hemant Soren) said that he will dismiss his petition against the arrest without considering the merits of the petition. It will be harmful if the court looks into the details. The Supreme Court said that your conduct speaks volumes, we expected your client to come forward with clarity but you hid important facts.
The Supreme Court expressed its displeasure with former Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren for hiding the fact that he had filed a bail petition in the lower court. The investigation against Soren (Hemant Soren) is related to a plot of 8.86 acres in Ranchi. ED alleged that Soren purchased this plot illegally. Soren is currently in judicial custody in Birsa Munda Central Jail, Ranchi.
