Bill Gates indicated that it is not too late to change things to work three days a week. In the future, machines will make food and perform other tasks.
Bill Gates shared his views with South African comedian and writer Trevor Noah on the ‘What Now’ podcast. Arguing that “work is not everything,” Bill Gates supports the three-day-a-week view. Bill Gates has said that AI will not take jobs and some roles will be eliminated due to concerns that AI will take over human jobs. The different arguments of both are being discussed in the social media.
In an interview with former Infosys CFO Mohandas Pai, Narayana Murthy said that Indian youth should work at least 70 hours a week to increase the country’s productivity. But Bill Gates says that the purpose of life is not just to work. Congress leader Shashi Tharoor has come up with an opinion on this issue. Writing on the X Platform, Congress MP Tharoor says that if Bill Gates and Narayana Murthy sit together and discuss and come to a compromise, they will find that the current system of five days a week is better.
Tharoor’s video has gone viral. Each of us has to decide how much work we want to do to grow and move forward in life. The responses to this are that workplaces should be found in accordance with this and company owners are not gods and they have their opinion like everyone else.
Many pointed out to Tharoor that Indian bankers still do not have a five-day working day culture.
