In this situation, Asa renounced his affections and went on asceticism, which caused great excitement among the people of the area. Jain saint Acharya Vijay Keerthyasuri participated in the program held yesterday and gave initiation to Devanshi monasticism in the presence of hundreds of people.
Family friend Nirav Shah says, “Devanshi traveled 700 km with the monks at an early age. He has accepted this ascetic life by trekking long distances,” he said.
