In 500 BC, Bimbisara (Nandamuri Kalyan Ram) and his friend are chased by some thugs in the border region of Trigarthala kingdom. He goes into a cave in an attempt to escape from them. There he accidentally finds a wonderful thing. If the scene is cut from there, in 1974, a wealthy man named Shastri (Bharat Reddy) along with Ketu (Ayyappa P. Sharma) reaches the cave related to Bimbisara for a book called Dhanvantari. Shastri dies as soon as he touches the cave door. His son Subramanya Shastri (Vivan Bhatena) grows up to be an elder doctor. He also searches for the Dhanvantari Granth with the help of Ketu.
At that time Ketu tells him the truth. That is, Bimbisara says that he comes to the present from the past. Just like that, Bimbisara reaches the earth. Bimbisara was a savage. Enraged by the desire for war, he fights wars and collects endless wealth. How could such an emperor reach the present time? What kind of circumstances does he face when he reaches that? Did the cruel Bimbisara become a good person? What conditions contributed to that? If you want to know these things, you have to watch the movie.
Review:
If different films are made, the audience will appreciate it. There is no doubt that the Telugu audience in particular loves good movies regardless of language. It is with that belief that hero Kalyan Ram’s effort is Bimbisara. A fantasy movie. It is very difficult to relate the point of kings and kingdoms to today’s time. But believing in the story told by director Vashishta, Kalyan Ram gave the green signal to play the title role as the hero. With the same belief, producer Hari Krishna is ready to produce the film with a huge budget and good technical values. Kalyan Ram and Harikrishna should be congratulated for believing in a new director for a movie like Bimbisara.
When it comes to actors.. One can understand the style of Kalyan Ram as a hero and producer if you watch the movies like Athanakde, Om which was made as a 3D movie. You can understand how much importance he gives to innovation. He acted in the movie Bimbisara with the same passion. So far he has not played the role of an emperor who ruled the kingdom. But with the aim of providing some variety, he carried the character of Bimbisaradu by ascribing a different look and body language. How hard he worked for that role is seen on screen in the movie. Along with the look, he changed the dialogue delivery. It should be said that Kadandoy is a character with a negative touch. One hundred percent tried to show villainy in this role. He was successful in that.
And after coming to the present time, the situations he faces after bringing about a change in him have also shown the gestures of the conflict. At the same time, Kalyan Ram’s heroism on the silver screen was good when the villains wanted to trouble him for Bimbisara’s treasure, the precious Dhanvantari Granth he had with him. Action part is good. Especially the fight to save the baby in the second half is impressive. Kalyan Ram in the role of Bimbisaradu. He himself drove the film forward.
Vivan Bhatena, who acted as the main villain, acted well according to his scope. The roles of Catherine Tresa and Samyuktha Menon who acted as heroines are limited. Srinivasa Reddy in the role of Zubeda tried to impress with comedy. Also Chammak Chandra’s role was small but made him smile. Prakash Raj (Prakash Raj), Rajeev Kanaka and others entertained with their own acting according to the range of roles.
From a technical point of view, Vassistha, the director, should be congratulated first. The way the story has been written balancing two time periods…the way it has been filmed is good. Vashishta succeeds in moving the film forward without really feeling like a new director. The songs composed by Chirantan Bhatt for the movie are just okay. And Keeravani (Keeravani) took the background score scenes to the next range. Chota K. Naidu’s cinematography is good. The second half did not seem to be as effective as the first half. Apart from that, there was nothing wrong with the movie. Overall, there is no doubt that the audience will enjoy the movie Bimbisara.
Finally.. ‘Bimbisara’.. a delightful socio fantasy
