BJP has performed well in the by-elections held on 9 assembly seats of UP. Except Sisamau and Karhal seats, NDA has captured all the other seats. 6 seats have gone to BJP and one seat to its ally RLD. BJP has won in Ghaziabad, Phulpur, Khair, Kundarki, Katehri and Majhwan. RLD has captured Meerapur. With this victory, history has been created in the Muslim dominated Kundarki seat.
