New Delhi. Former Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal has made very serious allegations against BJP in a press conference. Kejriwal alleges that BJP is secretly cutting votes in Delhi. He said that in the last one month, BJP has given applications to reduce 11 thousand 18 votes in Shahdara Assembly. This sequence continues. They give applications to reduce 1000-500 votes.
Kejriwal (Arvind Kejriwal) said that BJP has applied to cut votes on its letterhead. In the last 1-1.5 months, he has applied to deduct votes of 11,000 people and that process is going on. It has been said in the applications that these 11,018 people have either gone somewhere else or have died. We checked 500 at random. Out of these 500, 372 people were living there (at their address). He didn’t go anywhere else. That means 75% of their list is wrong.
Kejriwal further said that when we inquired, we found out that most of these voters turned out to be AAP voters. What is the point of holding elections if 6% votes are lost from an assembly constituency? There are around 1 lakh 86 thousand votes, out of which BJP has applied to deduct around 11 thousand votes. Don’t know yet how many applications will come.
Former CM Arvind Kejriwal said that the role of Election Commission is doubtful in this. The list of those whose removal applications come is to be posted on the Commission’s website but there is nothing there. Only 487 applications are visible, in which there are applications to remove voters even though the Election Commission has taken action on them. The Election Commission is secretly working on BJP’s application. In the 14th Assembly, an application has come from BJP to remove around 6 thousand voters from Janakpuri Assembly.
