A Jharkhand BJP leader tortured a woman working in her house by knocking her teeth out with an iron rod, beating her badly and not even giving her food. The BJP expelled Seema from the party after a video of him torturing a worker went viral on Tuesday. The Governor of Jharkhand also responded to the incident and directed the DGP to take immediate action. Police arrested her on Wednesday morning who was running away after the video came out. The matter came to light when Seema’s son sought the help of his friend, a government official, after torturing the maid. However, she claims that she is being deliberately framed in a false case and that she is innocent. After the video came out, she ran away from the house without being found by the police. Further, after arresting the police, Seema was produced before the judge and she was sent to judicial custody for 14 days. The BJP, which has expelled Seema Patra from the party, has announced that it is setting up a committee to investigate the matter. Seema’s husband is a retired IAS officer who is a member of the BJP’s National Women’s Wing Working Committee. Also, the victim Sunitha has been working in her house for the past ten years. In the video that came out on Tuesday, Sunitha is in a hospital bed with serious injuries on her body and face. Unable to speak properly due to severe torture, she alleged that she was kept captive, subjected to torture and beaten with rods and an iron pan. The caning left her teeth so badly knocked out that she was unable to sit. Moreover, I was forced to lick the urine and my teeth were also broken with an iron rod. She said that she had not even eaten for many days. However, Seema Patra’s son Ayushmann saved her.. I am alive because of him. Worried about Sunita being tortured, Ayushmann told his friend Vivek Anand Baski and asked her for help. Government officer Vivek Anand Baski filed a complaint with the police and registered a case. Alleging that her son was trying to help Sunita, Seema Patra admitted him to the Ranchi Institute of Neuro-Psychiatry and Allied Sciences.
