Patna. Criminals shot a Bharatiya Janata Party leader in Patna, Bihar. As soon as the family got the information, they immediately took him to the hospital, where he died. As soon as the information was received, the police reached the spot and inspected the scene of the incident. The name of the deceased is Shyam Sundar alias Munna Sharma.
The incident happened at 4 am on Monday. Police said that criminals shot Shyam Sundar near Mangal Talab in Patna city. (BJP leader) Shyam had reached Mangal Talab to catch an auto to go somewhere. Meanwhile, criminals tried to snatch his gold chain. Shyam Sundar protested against the chain snatching incident.
After this the criminals shot him. (BJP leader) Shyam was associated with BJP and was the Nagar Mandal President of Patna City Chowk. Shyam Sundar’s son’s chanka was also held on Sunday. Many of his relatives had come to attend it. At four o’clock in the morning on Monday, Shyam Sundar had reached near Mangal Talab to catch an auto to drop his relatives.
Chowk police station in-charge Shashi Kumar Rana said that around six o’clock in the morning, the police received information that a person named Munna Sharma was shot and injured in front of Nai Sadak City Food Restaurant. After this, his family took him to the hospital, where he died during treatment. CCTV footage around the incident spot is being scanned. Further action is being taken in the murder of (BJP leader).
