Nagarkarnool (Telangana): Rahul Gandhi has said that the BJP will get only 2 percent of the votes in the Telangana assembly elections, and the competition here is between the Bharat Rashtra Samithi and the Congress.
The Telangana Assembly elections are going to be held in a single phase on the 30th. The counting of votes is scheduled to take place on December 3. The election campaign is heating up in the state of Telangana ahead of the elections. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi addresses an election campaign rally in Nagarkurnool, Telangana. He said: “This election is an election to give an answer to K. Chandrasekhara Rao who is the Chief Minister. First we have to send him out. After that, we have to question him about the loot he has made from the people of Telangana. I am sure that the money he looted from the people should be returned to the people. Prime Minister I am not just a promise maker like Narendra Modi. When I make a promise, I fulfill it.
As far as this election is concerned, on one side is Chandrasekhara Rao, his family, his corrupt ministers. On the other side, there are the poor, the farmers of Telangana and the Congress party. Our dream is that Telangana should be ruled by the people of this state. But now Telangana is ruled by a king and his family.
This election is between Bharat Rashtra Samithi and Congress Party. The truth is that BJP and Owaisi’s party have come together with Bharat Rashtra Samithi. For the BJP, it is routine to launch the Central Intelligence Agency against the opposition parties. I have 24 cases against me. I was disqualified from Lok Sabha. The official government house allotted to me was taken away from me. I have gladly given it. For me whole India and Telangana is my home. As far as BJP is concerned, they will target whoever is their enemy. However, they did not file any case against Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhara Rao. Because Prime Minister Modi and Chandrasekhar are working together.
In such an environment, BJP leaders who come here say that if the BJP wins, a backward person will become the chief minister. They will get only 2 percent votes here. That being the case, how can they rule here? Wherever Congress contests in Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Assam, Uttar Pradesh, Owaisi’s party will come. They will take money from BJP and support its candidates. People of Telangana should keep this in mind,” Rahul Gandhi said.
